Espais infinits

The Catalan NGO Òmnium Cultural has commissioned a stand for public events, designed to be compact, modular, and easily transportable by car. The entire structure is stored in portable boxes that cleverly serve as structural elements of the stand. These boxes not only support the fabric but also allow for flexible configurations, extending the stand’s layout beyond its core frame. The fabric, rolled inside the boxes, can be effortlessly pulled out to create a canopy. This smart system transforms the stand into an adaptable, expandable space that responds to different contexts and uses.

The textiles provide sun and weather protection while expanding the space and playing with light and shadow. They act as interactive surfaces for social engagement, participation and visibility. Additionally, they can serve as a canvas for the NGO’s visual identity or remain blank to interact freely with the environment.

Each stand can connect and combine with others, adapting to different needs: in a market, the boxes turn into display tables; in exhibitions, the textiles stretch between modules to form shaded passages; in a bar setup, the boxes transform into seats, encouraging gathering and interaction.
